ACCOUNTING MANAGER

ACCOUNTING MANAGER – Newly created position! Hybrid!

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a dynamic, impactful organization with great people and plans!

Report directly to the SVP of Finance & Accounting! There is lots of room to learn and the company offers a top salary and benefits package!

The ideal candidate will be a CPA with a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

• Oversees accounting staff
• Manages accounting work flow
• Point of contact for external auditors
• Works with contracts management team to process construction payables, etc.
• Properly record accounting transactions according to IFRS and U.S. GAAP
• Follow and update company accounting policies and controls, as needed
• Leads month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting
• Support the development and preparation of project-related information including budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
• Provide Tax Manager with necessary information to file income taxes
• Review monthly sales tax filings
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements
• Other projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Advanced degree a plus
• Five plus years of relevant experience, CPA a plus
• Must have considerable knowledge with basic accounting principles and functions.
• Job cost and construction experience will be beneficial for this position
• Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and coordination skills
• Autonomous: take initiative and organize work in an independent manner
• Must be proficient with Excel
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP system
• Team player
• Desire to grow professionally

Target salary range: $115,000 - $140,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential. Benefits include medical, dental, 401k, PTO and much more!
