We’re looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting function while also helping improve processes as the company continues to scale.
You will work closely with leadership, mentor team members, and play a key role in keeping the financial operations accurate, timely, and efficient — without sacrificing nights and weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax providers
- Identify and implement process improvements as we grow
- Jump in where needed — they are a team and support each other
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
- CPA or CPA candidate
- 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
Target salary range: $90,000 - $130,000 DOE. Benefits PTO, medical, dental, vision, and much more!
