ASSURANCE MANAGER

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager / Assurance Manager to join one of Colorado’s top public accounting firms. This individual will manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and provide leadership and development to engagement teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSURANCE MANAGER / AUDIT MANAGER

• Manage audit, review, compilation, and other assurance engagements.
• Supervise, review, and provide guidance to senior and staff accountants
• Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and other engagement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.
• Identify accounting, auditing, internal control, and financial reporting issues and develop appropriate recommendations.
• Research and apply GAAP, GAAS, and other applicable professional standards and regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Assist with complex accounting and technical research as needed.
• Promote a culture of quality, professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional client service.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ASSURANCE MANAGER / AUDIT MANAGER

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
• CPA required
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience
  
• Previous experience supervising or managing audit engagements and engagement teams.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
• Experience with financial statement audits and other assurance engagements.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor accounting professionals.
• Strong client-service orientation and professional presence.

Target annual salary range: $120,000 - $145,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential, generous PTO and lots of other great benefits!
