CONTROLLER

CONTROLLER – Highly visible role! Use your accounting, finance, strategy and M&A skills!

The team is great and there is lots of opportunity to help drive profitability and growth.

Ideal candidate will have a combination of accounting, finance, analytical and leadership skills. Experience in the aggregates industry is required. A CPA is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTROLLER

  • Assist in developing long-term strategic financial plans.
  • Identify, assess, and quantify business risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate and prepare annual detailed budget and forecasts.
  • Maintain financial statement models
  • Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on operational performance, inventory metrics, and product costing.
  • Evaluate optimum utilization and financial performance of assets.
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics/KPIs.
  • Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure company performance.
  • Own reserves end of life reclamation and help drive Aggregate reserves strategy.
  • Help to develop and assess M&A opportunities and business development initiatives.
  • Lead capital-planning process.
  • Perform Month-End/Year-End Journal Entries.
  • Inventory Management
  • Review and assess the adequacy of accruals
  • Work with external auditors.
  • Monitor internal
  • Revise or create new policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONTROLLER

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • 5 plus years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Experience with the aggregates industry is required
  • Experience with high growth companies
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others team members.

 

 

Target salary range:  $140,000 – $165,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential. Benefits include 401k and PTO, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance and more!
