The Controller will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the company's financial operations. This position is responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, tracking performance, assessing M and A, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTROLLER
- Oversee certain accounting and finance operations.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to ensure the company's financial health.
- Collaborate with project managers to track job costs and project profitability.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Identify, assess, and quantify business risks and opportunities.
- Maintain financial statement models.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on operational performance, inventory metrics, product costing and inventory management.
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics/KPIs and benchmarks.
- Help to develop and assess M&A opportunities and business development initiatives.
- Work with external auditors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE CONTROLLER
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
- CPA preferred
- 6 plus years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Excellent job record.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and consolidations.
- Construction experience preferred (or other job costing experience, i.e. manufacturing, architecture, mining, homebuilding, etc.).
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple.
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Highest level of honesty and integrity.
- Great Interpersonal skills.
Target salary range: $145,000 – $165,000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential. Benefits include 401k and PTO, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance and more!
