CORPORATE TAX DIRECTOR- Federal Research, Compliance and Reporting


Awesome opportunity to join one of Denver’s premier companies as their Corporate Tax Director managing federal tax research, compliance and reporting.

We are seeking a dynamic leader, mentor and team player to join the company’s expanding tax department.

Responsibilities of the Corporate Tax Director:

  • Ensure that all Federal tax returns, estimated payments and extensions are complete, proper and timely filed
  • Ensure that the Federal tax accounting provision, including financial statement footnote disclosures, is completed in accordance with ASC 740
  • Extensive research and planning including working with various tax, business and accounting personnel throughout the company to obtain and analyze data
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of federal income tax laws, regulations, and current developments
  • Assist with SOX 404 internal control procedures for tax processes
  • Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff
  • Work with outside CPA and advisory firms

Requirements of the Corporate Tax Director:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s in Tax or LLM preferred
  • CPA 
  • A mix of public accounting (Big 4) and industry tax experience preferred
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience, ideally 15+
  • Excellent tax compliance, planning and research skills
  • Excellent knowledge of ASC 740 and GAAP income tax accounting rules
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, performance-oriented and able to meet the demands of a diverse business environment in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Excellent analytical and organization skills are essential
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with corporate tax software packages
