This is an ideal position for a CPA that is currently a Hands-on Controller, Assistant Controller, Manager of Accounting or Senior Accountant with a combination of public accounting and industry experience.

This position offers a little bit of everything!  Located in central Denver.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAMILY OFFICE DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING:

• Ensure that all financial transactions for the family entities are properly recorded
• Full cycle accounting for the family entities - individuals, investment entities (LLC partnerships), trusts and foundations
• Ensure that the portfolio tracking and investment accounting is accurate
• Ensure that all transactional entries are properly supported
• Monitor and report on cash balances
• Work closely with the outside tax accountants and other consultants
• Support family meetings with reports and presentations as required
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required

PROFESSIONAL/PERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS OF THE FAMILY OFFICE DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required
• Advanced degree a plus
• CPA highly preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

  • A combination of public accounting (audit, tax or accounting services) and corporate accounting experience
  • Significant general accounting or tax experience dealing with high net worth clients
  • Straight public accounting experience with high net worth, family office, or accounting services.

• Excellent communication skills
• Customer service focused
• Highest degree of integrity

Target salary range is $100 -130K. Benefits include bonus, generous PTO, 401K, insurance and more.
