RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL PAYROLL
- Ensure proper reporting for multiple compensation and benefit arrangements.
- Manage integration of payroll systems changes and processes.
- Lead and manage a team of payroll professionals.
- Support global mobility payroll reporting.
- Onboard and transition payroll responsibilities for mergers and acquisitions.
- Stay updated with payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure payroll reporting and payments are compliant with local laws and regulations in each country.
- Responsible for SOX controls relating to payroll.
- Support global mobility payroll reporting.
- Ensure all applicable payroll related tax filings are timely filed.
- Coordinate with HR and finance departments to mitigate risks related to payroll compliance and fundings.
- Continuously assess and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security.
- Implement best practices in payroll processing and technology.
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external teams to ensure accurate payroll.
- Identify and initiate payroll savings strategies and efficiencies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL PAYROLL
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
- CPA and/or payroll certifications
- Extensive experience in payroll, with a significant portion managing or overseeing global payroll operations
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems, as well as SAP.
- Proficiency in excel including v-lookups, pivot tables
- Multi-state and multi-country payroll experience.
- Creative and commercial approach to dealing with payroll issues.
- Thorough understanding of accounting processes related to payroll.
- Experience in integrating new payroll systems and systems knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
COMPENSATION: The annual salary range is $175,000 - $185,000. Benefits include, medical, 401K, generous PTO and much, much more!
