HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR – Dynamic, fast growing, Denver-based Company!

As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a proactive, hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead and evolve their HR function, build scalable systems, and fostering a people-first culture that drives performance and growth.

Position Summary:

The Director of Human Resources will be a strategic partner to senior leadership while also rolling up their sleeves to manage day-to-day HR operations. This role will oversee all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation, benefits, training, and organizational development. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and is passionate about building and nurturing strong teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Director of Human Resources

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational structure, workforce planning, and employee development.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent across field and office roles.
  • Design and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business goals.
  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes with fairness, transparency, and legal compliance.
  • Develop and oversee performance management systems that support accountability and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including OSHA, EEO, FMLA, and other regulations.
  • Oversee and administer employee benefits and compensation programs.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture that aligns with the company’s values.
  • Develop training programs to support employee skill development, safety compliance, and leadership readiness.
  • Establish and maintain HR metrics and reporting systems to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Lead or support HR technology implementations and upgrades (HRIS, ATS, etc.).

Job Requirements

Qualifications of the Director of Human Resources

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification preferred – SHRM-SCP, SPHR.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of building or scaling HR functions in a growing company.
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, safety regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Team player.

 

Target Salary Range: $120,000-$150000 DOE. Discretionary bonus potential, PTO, 401k, insurance, and much more!!
