IT AUDIT MANAGER
IT AUDIT MANAGER – Great Corporate Role!
We’re looking for a strategic and hands-on IT Audit Manager to lead SOX IT compliance and drive improvements across a complex, global IT environment. This role offers the opportunity to manage a high-impact audit function, lead a team, and partner closely with IT and business leaders.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE IT AUDIT MANAGER
- Lead and manage the SOX IT controls program, including walkthroughs, testing, and reporting
- Plan and execute IT control testing (interim, remediation, and year-end)
- Track remediation efforts and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Partner with IT and compliance teams to strengthen the overall control environment
- Collaborate with financial internal audit teams on SOX and related initiatives
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of IT auditors (including international coordination)
- Plan and execute IT audit engagements, including defining scope, objectives, and audit programs
- Review audit workpapers and reports for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management, including executive leadership
- Manage relationships with external auditors and support audit requirements
- Identify and assess IT risks, including ITGCs and application controls
- Drive standardization of audit practices across global teams
- Travel as needed to support audit activities
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE IT AUDIT MANAGER
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, IT or computer science
- CISA preferred, CIA or CPA a plus
- 8+ years of SOX and IT audit experience across the full audit lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application controls
- Proven experience leading and developing audit teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior and executive leadership
- Experience managing external audit relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex IT environment with multiple systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Experience working with global teams and aligning audit practices
- Hands-on experience with SAP preferred
