SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Are you ready to make an impact at a growing real estate development firm? We are searching for a talented Senior Accountant to join this dynamic team and play a crucial role in shaping the company’s financial success.

In this hands-on position, you will supervise a small accounting team. The team will be at the heart of the financial operations, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the records. You will dive into detailed accounting functions, craft insightful financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

  • Perform detailed accounting functions, including ledger management, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Assist in managing company cash flow and support debt covenant reporting.
  • Contribute to the accuracy and timeliness of financial budgeting and reporting processes.
  • Help develop and monitor benchmarks to measure company performance.
  • Provide reliable financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in presenting monthly financial reports.
  • Collaborate with debt and equity partners by providing relevant financial information.
  • Coordinate with outside consultants, including CPA firms, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and four (4) plus years of accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in real estate accounting preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Financial reporting and planning skills.
  • Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and integrity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Target salary range:  $90,000 - $110,000 DOE. Benefits include PTO, retirement and more.
